Dr. Maggs McGloughlin is originally from Limerick. She studied Medicine in UCD and graduated in 2006. She did her internship in Limerick University hospital and the Mater before travelling to Perth in 2007, where she travelled and worked in Fremantle hospital for a year. She then returned and trained in Medical specialist training for a year in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin. She began training in General Practice with the Sligo scheme in 2009 spending time training in Emergency medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Rheumatology as well as time with several GPs in Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim. She has an interest in Dermatology and Rheumatology and am keen to continue learning in these areas going forward developing them as a special interest. She has a Diploma in Obs and Gynae but is very lucky to be working with Dr. Molly who is very competent in this field and is developing the service within the practice. She is married with four children. She loves sport and tries to keep fit with running and yoga.
